Chessgogi

  1. Use normal chess pieces

  2. Use a larger 11x11 board

  3. Set up the pieces just like chess in the middle 8x8 of the board

  4. The movement of pieces are just like chess, except:

1 -- there is no castling

2 -- there is no pawn promotion

  1. After a piece is captured, it becomes yours. You can drop a captured piece at any time. Dropping a piece counts as a move and ends your turn.

  2. You start off with an extra 8 pawns that you can drop

  3. If a piece is surrounded by enemy pieces (forward, backward, left, and right squares occupied by enemy pieces, like in go), it is captured.
